I'm looking for a single CD player to put out with a pair of 1210s.
Some of my DJs are requesting to play a few CDs with their Vinyl sets. What do you folks recommend? Nothing fancy just needs to be cheap, smaller the better and able to play ripped CDs. Ta! |

CDJ 800 Mk2 are the cheapest industry standard players right now
Recently got 2 for £160 each. Keep them serviced and they will last forever |

Denon is probably the only other option if you're looking at table-top CD players.

Personally for me the CDJ-400 is more useful than the 800 as it is both smaller & takes USB and can be found for around the same money.
Ive actually got a Stanton CMP.800 (also sold as Citronic MPCD-X3 and maybe a few others) and its not that bad. I did have it fail at 1 gig only to work totally fine when I got it home and ever since. Everything lit up and looked like it was working but it wasn't recognising any of the button presses. One of the things I like about my stanton is that it has 2 USB slots which I find to be great. Honestly getting CDJ which doesnt do USB is a waste of time. USB is the way forward, it just makes life so easy |

I picked up, and use, a Denon DNS1200 for £90 a few months ago. It plays CD's (purchased, ripped and MP3 if you got the latest firmware update) and has a USB socket too. I'm just waiting for another to come along now.
