yes! for my project, i have ordered fane xb 1000 w speakers. they don't go so deep as the pd's, but i don't need notes below 60 hz.
the g-sub original is around 300 l in total (ports and speakers subtracted) meaning 150 l pr speaker
the xb's are optimised for 100-250 l enclosures pr speakers, the fane site says, and i'm thinking to decrease the box volume down towards the minimum box volume for the xb's, around 100 l but then what do i do with the ports? i can't use the win isd on my mac so struggeling here and what should the tuning freq of the box be? my range is within 60 - 160 hz. roots / dub sound, with scoops below. |

18" for kick will always sound muffled imo. go for 15s, quick/light cones with medium strength..
br/bph/horn really depends on personal taste, all have their pros and cons. |

you can run Winisd on mac, use winebottler, you can create an executable file for mac, works for me! edit: also recommend 18" or 15" bph , or 15" reflex for kick Edited by bob4 - 02 November 2015 at 10:49am |
