djk: $34, 1.4" damped titanium diaphragm with polyimide surround. 1" exit with a standard 2 or 4-bolt mount. Ferrofluid.
The graph looks like it was made on a large 570hz (Fc) horn.
Looks like a good inexpensive driver for use with smaller two-way speakers. With 10dB of attenuation to match a 98dB woofer section it should handle up to about 600W into the system (30W continuous at 108dB).
"This 1.4 inch diaphragm 1inch exit compression driver is for use in high quality sound reinforcement systems. The polyimide surround allows reliable operation in 2 way systems with lower crossover points. The titanium diaphragm is coated with a light, thin layer of unique damping material giving the driver an unusually smooth sound."
Tymphany is Vifa/Peerless/Scan-Speak.
"Peerless was founded in Denmark in 1926. Vifa, also founded in Denmark, merged with Peerless in 2000 to form Danish Sound Technology (DST). In 2005 Tymphany acquired Danish Sound Technology (DST) along with the original Peerless, Vifa, and Scan-Speak brands, engineering, products, and technology."
This is not the Peerless made in India.

Ah so they finally got out with some PA drivers.
I wonder who designed that for them. They were looking for engineers to hire couple of years ago. I got the offer. But it didnt worked out.

Would these play low enough to meet a eminence delta pro12? I mean is says, "Smooth response from 1,500 to 17,000 H," but realistically?

I like Tymphany, their lat subs are great everytime I've used them. Mind you that was a long long time ago.

I'm going to have to buy one and then see.
It does have a flexible surround, something most drivers don't have. I'll probably try it on the large (PRV clone) QSC horn that PartsExpress sells.
The old Yamaha Club Series horn might be good too, it won't have as good of dispersion in the top octave, but it goes real low (550hz Fc), and is very good above 1.5Khz or so.

They look like they will work well in our Unity horns. Also might have to buy a pair ...
