Back with another question.
not many people seem to use neodymium drivers in their scoops. My research has shown, that in the early days of neodymium drivers the neodymium drivers used to demagnetize under heat. We use 2 PD.N 18BR40 in a customised G-sub, have been doing so for 2 years, without any problems or signs of damage. has the R&D of neodymium drivers found a solution to this problem yet? Are there other reasons for the fact that noone seems to use them in scoops? thanks for any input! Edit: VAS seems significatly lower with neo drivers. Is this the reason noone uses them? 18 sound NLW9601, in right Scoop, with right pre-amp, Sub amp, Speaker cable, smokes 1850 in ASS S118 Scoop.
Been there, seen it, done it. Not for everyone though, due to price. EDIT:Have Compared 4x in Lev .44 powered by Inf8MK2, vs 4x ASS S118 Loaded with 1850s. Edited by levyte357- - 13 May 2017 at 1:54pm |

Completely correct, yes. But remember, years ago, Most scoops around were optimal for 1850. My Lev .44s, were deliberately optimised for drivers "a little looser/warmer", than PD1850 series 1. |

18sw115 parms strongly suggest it would work well in my Scoop. However, no of 1.9% is exceedingly worrying in my books. Regardless of what some people say, low no figure means reduced sensitivity, means more power to get it to impress, than a similar 18" of higher sens. I'm "guessing" the 18NLW9601 would outplay the B&C, with much less power input. |

U want lows from a 50 put it in a better scoop. Put a 50 in a smini or the sb version i had. And then compare that to your big chamber/throat box. Then the difference isnt as big. But no point comparin that b&c to a 50 when theres a 51. 21" wise the 18sound is stronger than the b&c so id bet thats the same for 18" too.
