Finally tested this combo today. Tongue

1.5khz+ into certain 2",  crossed into 1" using passive xover @ 8k.

Sounded lovely, had to back down on the 16khz quite a bit.. Wink

Problem is my MT121 wont allow mounting of 1" horn above 2", so would have to settle for 1" above in separate box. Confused

I'm also going to test this 2" + 1" set up soon, just waiting for some parts to arrive & the time to do it. I'll post my verdict.

Couldn't wait to get home and do some more "testing". LOL

put 2" on 90x40 horn, to match 1" on ME45, and it sounded like amp had suddenly warmed up. Tongue

separate box, or make another box of the same footprint as your mt tall enough for the 1" glue top section on top of the mt and sash clamp or even use a ratchet strap to hold it in place whilst the clue sets? just an idea.
You're a big man, but you're in bad shape. With me it's a full time job. Now behave yourself.

No problem here. Just cut a 1" hole in the side or top of your 2" horn, and mount the 1" to that hole (on the outside/back side of the horn pointing inwards).

At over 8K you don't need a horn for the 1" at all.

You want to position the driver so that the sound refects off the opposite side (or bottom) of the flare and emerges pointing directly out of the flare. Off the top of my head a 60 degree dispersion angle (ie each wall angloed 30 degrees outwards) would give you the required beam angle after 1 reflection. You'd want to check that, though.

Added bonus: path lengths may be well matched between 2" and 1".

Edit:

alternatively use the 1" as prt of the phase plug for the 12". Again, don't worry about a horn up above 8K
