most of the bits are stuff i found lying around.  ill list prices of all the bits..

21mm ply: £40/sheet - but i didnt use all of the sheet.

drivers:
18" - cerwin vega stroker - £55 second hand
5.5" mid - jordan jx 92 - £90 new
tweeter - piezo powerline - £5 new

amp - MMATS LM2125 - £120 second hand (including US import tax)

crossovers:
skytronic 3 way - £12 new
caliber active crossover - £16 second hand

Battery:
enersys powersafe 92f - £35 second hand(still with 8 yrs warranty)

wheels/handle:
dismantled sack truck - £20 new
wheel shaft/nuts - £6

wires/paint/etc/solder - £10

Total comes to just over £400.  but this was all aquired over quite a few years, for many different pet projects..  the jordan driver at £90 is a bit overkill, but it was wrecked so i bodged it so i could at least get some use out of it..  a £5 maplin midrange driver sounds exactly the same.
REFLEX ALL THE WAY.... (however, im playing with horns again...) That ok Mister Valiant? :)

battery:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/12-Volt-Deep-Cycle-Leisure-Batterys_W0QQitemZ260408178061QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ConsumerElectronics_Batteries_SM?hash=item260408178061&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1690%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50
there is also a ebay seller near oxford who sells exactly the same batteries for 35 quid.

the amp is a mmats LM2125/SQ2150 which is a bit overkill because of its collectability factor.  its a serious hi-fi car amp that cost over 500 quid new.  if you want one you should search 'mmats' on the US ebay.  they also do class d bass amps.  but these are very sought after.  any bridgable 2 channel car amp will do the job.
edit: i just found a MMATS SQ2080 amplifier.  like the baby brother of the one i use, but still with great performance (250wrms bridged 4ohm).  would be great for running a simple high power 3 way cab usign a passive crossover.  maybe HD15 up to 150hz, high efficinecy 8" reflex from 150hz + APT80 running from 5k......  would be a killer combo, with great amp sound quality and a lower idle current drain than what mine does..
passive crossover would need to be custom built with a low pass of 150hz crossover, but for 250wrms handling it shouldnt cost more than 50quid for the bits.

link:-

come to mention it, i think im gonna try a hd15 cab in this way  .  i high pass my rig at 60hz so the lack of lf from the hd15 wont make a difference.

just took some shots of the unity horn mid top section.  made from 5mm grp sheet.

4x 75mm mids, 1x cts/powerline piezo driver.  it runs from 800hz and up.  the throw is immense and powerful and really helps outside.  i had problems with it sounding honky and harsh, but now i have lined it with polyester wadding it sounds almost as good as reflex, but way louder for the same input power.
