i have a:
plye plcape500 capacitor
infinity reference series 5760a amplifier
and a jl audio 500/1 amplifer for jl audio w7 10 in speaker

and i need to know how to wire these up correctly

could you tell me:
1. what gauge wire to use
2. what fuses to use
3. what is the correct procedure to wire a capacitor properly because when i bought my car with all this stuff inside the lights used to dim while the bass was playing

What is the FARAD rating on the Capacitor ?
The capacitor should be wired directly to the pos side of Batt via fuse (35 should do) with
at least an 8ga cable. From the capacitor wire to the amps.  With both your amps, I would go with at least a 3-5 farad capacitor to make sure......
