154 & 1550 will hit you too hard I think.
I'm really happy about the mb15n401, but some of their smaller coil drivers might also be good. People often talk about small coil being important, looking at the tsw-21 this seems like nonsense, 6" coil heavy cone playing up to 150hz!!

fane studio 15b sounds nice in there, but also I think colossus 15b or 154 should work ok in big groups, aren't they less honky in stacks of 6?

If you want to try that martin I'll give it to you for £50, it's almost like mint condition!

Go listen to some straight kick horns
Do it:-)

Generic name for a type of common household cleaning cloth - very light fabric so won't add excess weight to the driver but absorbent so helps retain the adhesive. Also, extremely cheap and very readily available.

That sounds like a good choice! Also used in xtro.
Should have light cone & strong motor as I recall.
Not a cheap solution

Let me know if you ever need RC-kits, I have 9 of these on the shelf!
Also let me know if you stumble upon some blown drivers of these!
