There are discussions as well as plans on SoundForums.net for a 2x12+horn designed by Peter Morris if anyone is interested.

For sidefills, can we have two enormous things of a type that might be venerated as Gods by the inhabitants of Easter Island, capable of reaching volumes that would make Beelzebub soil his pants.

If it wasn't the expensive BMS co-axial 2" driver at $700 I would've built this already, thanks Peter Morris for the excellent work and free plans too!

I know this topic is bit old, but I still have a question.
Is it true that you would model this driver layout as a offset driver horn? |

I'm not an expert, but I would assume that the crossover frequency between 10" and horn is so low that the small cavity in which the 10" sits doesn't have significant effects, let alone horn loading properties

If I have some time soon, I will try to build a test-cabinet from some mdf.
It still is an attractive layout with the small frontal area, and I only need a decent response down to 80 Hz. |
