If no reply, you could drop Fane/PD an E-mail and ask. you never know, they might have records.

I seem to remember the pair i had back in the 70's had solder tags rather than push terminals..and the ferrite magnet had silver sticky backed plastic trim wrapped round it like a Christmas cake decoration.

Three inch voice coil i think? Cant remember the power rating,150w? But they would take a lot more and still sound sweet.

Nice drivers though, lovely warm sound, and good value back then, were under half the price of the equivilant imported american 18".JBL K151,Gauss etc.
Be seeing you.

I had a pair of 15's like this in the 70's, with the xmas tape on too!

When replaced with EV15B's there was a huge jump in performance.

Ah. yes, the high efficiency anisotropic magnet, I remember it well. I had a pair of these, 15" version, first used as low range, (They were very wide range, excellent value) with Goodmans Hi-Fax tops (total rubbish, still got the brochure somewhere) then mid after I acquired the Gauss, and added a pair of Fane 920 horns.

Yes, good drivers. The Colossus Crescendo 18 were the 4" coil version, which later became the 400b. The regular Crescendo is a conservatively rated 150w 3" coil. Im always on the lookout for Crescendo 70s drivers, working or not - for vintage projects.

Elliot you woudnt have the T/S parameters for the 12a Crescendo by any chance cant find them anywhere, not to be confused with the Crescendo 12bass which was higher power spec i believe.
