Slaz, here's a Boominator signature playing at low volume inside a gym. Sound decent enough.

Hmmm .... well - still curious - if you were designing a box/system specifically for that scenario (against a wall, outdoors "in the street") - what box design/driver layout would you go for ? Edited by slaz - 12 December 2013 at 10:57am |

Bass gets so bloated that it's no longer possible to hear details. In order words, it gets muddy. |

So would these amps be the same as the amp6 running into 8ohm? i ask because they look to have a lower efficacy rating and lower wattage. |

The top one would be exactly the same. The bottom one is for 24V, ie. 2 12V batteries in series. It'll have 4 times the output power capability at about the same efficiency, just remember that it consumes almost the same in idle and the 12V amp does at full volume (about 4W) so instead of lasting about 20 hours at close to maximum volume on a single 7Ah battery as the 12V amp does, it lasts about 4 hours at close to maximum volume on a pair of 7Ah batteries. Using a cheaper amp (TA2024) instead of a maxamp20 would I be loosing a lot of loudness and sound quality?
