Hey, thinking about trying to connect my speakers to a 12v circuit so it can be run off a car battery.
Was wondering if it would be as simple as to buy a 12v amp (car amp) that can produce 700w, then connecting it to my jbl m-350's.... or whether the high amps would ruin my speakers. If not, it would be much appreciated if anyone could suggest how i would go about doing this. Thanks Joe

I'd suggest to try starting with a native 12v amp, around 15 watts. Look for a MaxAmp, Amp6 or other Ta202x based amp. Cheap and low power consumption. Your speakers are high efficiency and will thus make a lot of noise with little power.
