Anyone have any experience of these ?

Asking because Sure do one at a good price - but unlike the STA508-based module that I'm using, they're available as a cased unit with volume control, reasonable-looking external connectors etc.

ISTR picking up that TDA7498 is really meant for 8R loads - is that right ?

Not too concerned here with the nuances of subjective "hi-fi buff" evaluation .... just if it sounds decent, and is stable/reliable with supply around 24V. It should yield about 30-40W/channel -> 8R with 24V .... yes ?

TIA.

AS a single channel (bridged if you will) the chip will put out a max of around 68w
If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.
