Here is a short video of two (out of 12) Double Eighteens Reflex Subs and one (out of 4) Double Twenty-One Reflex Subs effortlessly playing 20 Hz from a Hip Hop Recording.

I don’t recall posting a video on my youtube account offering the low bass performance of my Double Eighteens & Double Twenty-Ones in a combination. Output level is low on the video for obvious reasons so you will need to increase the volume on your receiver/amplifier. If your loudspeakers cannot register to 20 Hz, you may be better off using headphones.

Effortlessly producing 20hz at a very low listening volume isnt that difficult surely? I can hear your fingers on the mixer/keyboard

It was not recorded low

It was recorded at a distance to prevent microphone overloading. Something that the bulk of guys recording sub bass do not understand. The dB level at the distance of the microphone (2.62 metres) was 110 dB C Weighted.  I guess what is “for obvious reasons” from a recording standpoint were not so obvious for those who do not record. Since sub bass has a tendency to structurally shake things around it, you are not going to shake up the place to the point other things start to add their own sound in the mix.

Surely, if the microphone is a few inches away from a metallic toggle switch engaging and disengaging the bass than, directly a few inches away from the loudspeakers, you are going to hear the metallic toggle switch cycling on and off aren’t you?

The microphone distance does not differ than the Double Fifteen inch playing Reggae thread other than using two Double Eighteen inch Reflex Subs & one Double Twenty-One inch Reflex Sub opposed one Double Fifteen inch Reflex Sub. Six drivers propagating bass versus two drivers propagating bass will always offer more SPL in favour of six drivers.

My Double Fifteens will register to 25 Hz whereas my Double Eighteens & Double Twenty-Ones will register in the teens. You can hear the metallic toggle switch cycling on and off the bass in the Double Fifteen inch playing Reggae video as well.
