So...I'm building a Boomcase for a mates Birthday pressie.
I'm using a butchered pair of Tannoys powered by a Maxamp.
I've not employed any calculations or the like just made a box that'll fit in the hacked Tool bag I'm gonna use.
It's sounding pretty good, I angled the bass driver (I only have one) to fit it in the box height.
The only problem is you can hear the Bass slightly distorting the Tweeters which isn't great.
Would this be due to crappy X-overs?
I have the X-over components left over form my Boominator which I might try.

My Tinnitus is coming along nicely!!

is the cross over the one that originally crossed the drivers your using?
you might find that the tweeter cant handle where they are being crossed over at.
I do a sideline in ply wood wheels.

That's what's wierd, it's the original filter that was in the can.

Are you paralleling the tweeters into a single crossover?

If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.
