hi guys, I built a small 12v sound system for my son, its two channel stereo all in one box, powered by a Kenwood car amp and run from a small stanton mixer, im looking to cange it if I can find a volume, bass, mid, treble module to set into the box so we ditch the mixer and only have power and a 3.5 jack going into the box, any ideas and thought welcome, heers in advance.

You can also get dirt cheap TA2020 or TPA3116 based amps with tone controls which will make the whole system vastly more efficient.
More efficient means less power is wasted which in turn translates to either 5 times smaller battery needed with the weight and size reduction that will cause, or 5 times longer playing time on the existing battery, or a compromise on getting both. |

many thanks, I will check that out, I totally understand what you mean, the old car amp does kill the power but delivers on the sub side, its quite a cool thing actually, I will put up some photos when I resemble it and give it a repaint, advice is always greatly recieved, cheers. |
