yeah was just thinking there that it could use an internal loop of the generated sound as the reference to do two channel. Would mean that you were measuring the delay of the whole system including desks latency and processing etc etc, but if it's only comparative delay you're wanting to line up subs and tops then that wouldn't matter too much.  You're not gonna be lining up phase traces or anything but as you say it'll be pretty close and good enough for a lot of things.
