I came across this whilst trawling a discount shopping website... buy to save, y'know
Lenmar Chugplug

curious device, takes a 110-240v dc input from the wall
has 4ah 11.1v lipo battery
plugs in to your macbook charger
spits out 110-250v dc

I guess the charger is fine running on DC...

I wonder if it'd be worth trying to pull one apart to use the charger and battery, and bypass the dc-dc output

Usually $150, now $30AUD, might grab one if I'm feeling silly with money

A 4Ah lithium pack for €20 is not to be sniffed at, even if the rest of it is no use.

I like your thinking - but it might not be easy to (electrically) separate the charging circuit "bit" from the up-converter "bit" - if its all on one PCB (most likely).

Hmm ... dunno - I got a 5Ah 3S Lipo pack from Hobbyking for just over £20  - which works very well on a 2020 amp. Well - I already had a Turnigy balancing Lipo charger though.

Indeed, I would just go with a charger/battery pack combo from HK.
