Good day,
Not sure if I'm on the correct forum page (admin please move if necessary). I'm busy browsing and getting info for my next build & noticed something. A lot of users mention the max/ optimum voltage that the cabinet can handle without causing damage to the driver. I currently built a pair of THAM12's loaded with Faital Pro 12H1010's. T&S are as follows: Fs - 45Hz Re - 5.5 ohms Qes - 0.35 Qms - 9.4 Qts - 0.33 Xmax - 9.25mm AES power - 700W I am pushing them with a Nuke 6000, but don't give it full throttle. The DCX output gain is about -4 and the amp volume generally at 3/4's of max. How does one calculate and measure the max voltage for the cabinet. Just want to know if I am over driving the cabinet or if i can give it a little more juice

Tham Hornresp imput are freely available on Martinson's blog.
Add your driver and simulate how much voltage/watts you can give it before exceeding x-max. |

It's not so easy, dude. You can try to measure a voltage before the driver reaches xmax on pink noise.

You will also need and accurate AC rms voltmeter not cheap. Personally and from a lot of experience you should be fine providing the amp does not clip. Also the Behringer I Nuke amps are very overated and lastly set a high pass filter on the LMS if you are using one.
