Define 'hit harder' - more overall SPL? A larger resonant peak at a particular frequency of your choice? Has a broader frequency response? Plays lower?

which upper bass you mean exactly? ;)
215br will sound much softer and "warmer", bph hits harder - for classic roots br is more of a great allrounder imo

a double 15" BPH will out perform a double 18" in the Kick frequency area 90hz to 200hz..

reflex 15s, not tuned too low + driver chosen accordingly should be the most balanced overall..
or 12/15 on a short flh ;)
(theres more than just bphs out there.. have a look around at hornplans.fr)
