I'm a fairly experienced sound tech but am new to the speaker design/construction thing. I have a pair of empty EV SH15-2 cabinets that I am trying to revive on a budget and have a question on the woofer.
There is no woofer listed on the datasheet for the SH15-2. The cabinets are an older version of the EV SH1502ER cabinet which uses the EVG-15 woofer. I found the following T/S paramaters for the EVG online (I have basically no idea what these mean, working through the essential reading links right now):
I have four DL15X woofers laying around. Could I successfully use a pair of those in the SH15-2 in place of the EVG? DL15X datasheet link: http://www.electrovoice.com/downloadfile.php?i=1001

The woofer in the SH1502ER is the Force 15 frame and magnet with a coil from the EVM 2. The DL15x is very close to the EVM 15B Proline and EVM15L Proline. The DL15x has a larger magnet and heat sink ring on the pole which makes it a step up from the SH1502ER woofer. The SH1502ER box lacks low bass and should be used with a large subwoofer. The DL15x is a upgrade. VECTORSONICS
