Hi guys,
whats up with al the turbosound aspect on the second hand market? See lots of free party crews with them. They are all great boxes and sound amazing if run right. How come they got dumped by all the pro company's or am I missing something? I understand that floodlight and tms4 and such are becoming old and thought aspect was the solution to it? Maybe it's Danley taking over the niche market for turbo aspect? |

Think Behringer taking over might of been the last straw for some, they took it off the catalog as well, it was never really that popular like the flash/flood i dont think. By that time everyone wanted a line array.

Nope to all of those. Only one big system was sold - to BRP. It went on maybe two tours and sat in the warehouse the rest of the time bar Culture Clash. They flipped it and it ended up at LMC who couldn't move it on for ages. Ended up sold piecemeal for peanuts, hence so many people having little bits.
It's good but not really 'Turbo' in sound. And it takes a lot of channels and weight compared to line array. |

I'll echo the weight comment from Toasty
The TA-890H is a heavy old box, especially in comparison to a Fk1 Res 5T

I have also heard it sound very good. Really good in fact!
But I have heard our L'Acoustics sound bang on pretty much every time it goes out. Plus 5 way is a pain in the ass when operating as a small to medium sized business. |

I'm starting to enjoy 3 way a lot more Especially when it can be done in 2u of space... When having multiple rigs out on the same night, less amplification can be handy

I have heard aspect sound really good, the HF sounds very loud but still sweet.
I see lots of them 880H and 890H and also some TA500 with rave crews in Belgium And Holland and UK. Too bad they got dumped but they seem like a very pro box to me with all the rigging and everything. I would rather choose floodlights than aspect I think.

It's prob void , F1 and danley taking over the visual hornloading aspect rather than turbosound aspect. If i was a pro company I would choose line array, l'acoustics kara or something.
