How did you get on with this?

I have 2 in need of new screens.

One is totally shot the other is just dull on one side.

Yeah, i also would really like to have more information about the display. What i know is :

Display: optrex DMF50126 nf fw
Display board:  B2842

Searching for years now, but so far no luck in finding a spare display!!

Yes, I have fixed DN6000 screen when about 50% was black horizontal stripes.

There is nothing wrong with display and board.
But holy sh*it with cable connections between them.
So I found this advise on net:

https://www.instructables.com/Repair-a-Malfunctioning-LCD/

I decided it is impossible to spoil corpse with bullet, so I disassembled Klark LCD and started to repair.

It took about 1 hour (repeat heating about 6 times on both side and rub, rub, rub with plastic screwdriver end), but now it looks and works like new.

And do not forget about heat shields.

P.S. There is really no software substitute for it if you need 5hz-40khz exact display.

And if you have dimmed back light - not a problem at all, simply use led. With elementary knowledge how to do it, of course.

And when you are done - replace impulse PS capacitors. Commonly they are OK, but anyway. You now have valuable and precise instrument. They are standard, except one 56uf what can be replaced with 68uf without problems. Add +10v on voltage.
