Hi Guys...

I have some fresh JBL 2360 cinema horns loaded with 2450 2" comps.

I'm happy playing down to 500hz with these suckers and am looking for some neo 18" drivers that will play up to 500hz and have a 99-100db/1w sensitivity.

I'm thinking 3-4 18" cones per side - individually boxed, closely coupled in a vertical line array which in previous experiences (with 2206H 12" cones) couple and are very directive. scaling up to 18" cones i'm hoping shifts some more air.

the system will be run from 12v so 4 8r cones per side will get me 2r per side.

please... your suggestions for lightweight, fast 18's!!!

stick with 15"
If you really want to use 18" this one might work at a push

Or try and find some old EV DL18MT's.  2.5" VC's, very light cones for an 18".  Not much good for bass compared with modern drivers but for what you're doing would be ideal.

the old EVM18B had mms less than 80g, here's my sample playing 2-way to a slotted pipe tweeter poking into the front chamber of a Karlson coupler.    IIRC, xmax as 3.2mm and remember seeing one bottom out in a reflex.   The K-coupler seems better in that regard.
