I reckon since you actually received a shipment from them, it makes sense that they ask you to re-file the claim as "item not as described" as opposed to "item not received".

from personal experience and what I've read on the net ebay is pretty vigilant in favor of buyers. I had a very "special" customer buy an almost mint unused AKAI APC20. The guy proceeded to tell me that the device not "unused, as new" because there was dust on it….. Wacko

The retard proceeded to blackmail me into lowering the already ridiculously low final AUCTION price of ~60 € (~30% of original RRP). I went out of my way to explain I had barely use the thing, but he proceeded to give me negative feedback, the first I have ever received, totally undeserved. I complained about it to ebay, but to no avail. Because I received a negative feedback, I as a seller was PREVENTED TO GIVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK. That is STANDARD PROCEDURE AT EBAY NOWADAYS. Buyers can be complete dicks without consequences. I wasn't aware of this until I got shafted by that guy…..

So bear in mind, IF your claim doesn't get resolved, you can stick it to this guy big time with some well worded negative feedback, which will look bad on his stats…. and he will have no way to get back at you

Ebay are c**ts. I just found out they have been charging me 10% on items i didn't sell because i ended the listing early and refusing to refund me. f***ing c***ts

	Yes, maybe best to just do that and see what they say. Paypal case as a last resort. EDIT: When I had my big dispute a few years ago, it was Paypal that sorted it out after the ebay people messed me around for a couple of weeks. Edited by Earplug - 17 January 2017 at 10:00am
