One word of caution:
A lot of the drivers used in these Meyer systems were specially modified to their own specifications, unlike most other manufacturers in those days who usually just stuck their own badges on existing components bought in as OEM's. Consequently spares are extremely expensive and can be hard to source. And so, if buying secondhand boxes, you need to check that somebody hasn't replaced drivers with off-the-shelf alternatives at some point during their life. They definitely won't have the performance to justify the price, or the Meyer name. |

Meyer, even more so (or at least has done so for longer period) than other proper manufacturers thinks loudspeakers as complete systems from low voltage signal to acoustic output, ie. the full combination of processing, amplifying, drivers, horns and boxes are considered pretty much equally important. One of the more extreme cases of this would be the X-10.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9726318/x-10_ds.pdf The funny thing is, X-10 had some interest around High End Hi-Fi / Home Theatre realm and I find the "cons" on this review quite funny "but but what if we'd like to try out other amps??" http://hometheaterreview.com/meyer-sound-x-10-powered-loudspeakers/ |

Do you guys have any information about rigging these?
I’ve got a few boxes and we need to splay angles for coverage in theatres. We are using most of them in long throw configuration with one box upside down on top of another. We have fixings on top and bottom which Meyer describe as aircraft pan fittings but can’t find the right information online. We are looking for a system of adjusting angles at the front by moving them up and down. Please let me know if you have any experience or ideas for doing this. Thank you
