If you plan to run at 4ohms. I would think a 4000 would be better. the 5002 is optimized for 2ohm loading.

The high peak voltage output of these amps make them great for kick bins.  I think the xe4000s is approx 155V peak.

Spend the extra on the XE version for the excellent limiters. I learnt a lot by using the amps voltage and amperage output meters.

Despite what some forum members may say these amps are good on bass as well.
Sound quality is great.
I have been using PKN amps for years and have found them very reliable.

Thanks Everyone for your replies, what's your opinion on the pkn 5002 for the same mid/kick on 2 ohm loads,or two pkn 4000 would be better?? Speakers are rcf 15
 x8 playing only mid/kick.

In which alternate dimension?  How would you maintain that AC does not drop a single Volt under load?

In the alternate dimension where facts are provided to the person asking the questions so they can make their own informed decision

A pair of 4000s would do a fine job and run with plenty of head room.

I've not used a 5002. Looking at the the specs I would think it's going to be running hard, if you plan on using all 8 drivers flat out.
