I know the Proline 3000 amps are great on subs but how do they sound on mid/highs when say run one mid/high per channel into 8 ohms? I heard that they don't output their rated power at 8 ohms per channel is that true?

Why wouldnt they? Output current demand increases when going down in frequency. Conversely that means, that for a beefy sub amp like proline 3000, mid high is a picknick, and it will happily run all day long without breaking a sweat. See my post with the output power measurements in your other thread....

I've never used a Proline 3000 but used to power my mids and tops from C Audio XR3801's which are a big heavy 3u class H brute of a thing like the Prolines, they sounded superb and I can't see a Proline being any different. If the Proline sounds good on a very demanding application like sub bass then I can't see any reason why a much easier application like mid/top shouldn't sound just as good.

Well the reason I asked is because some amplifiers don't have the clarity, I was wondering primarily if the Proline 3000 had the clarity and excellent sound quality that a QSC RMX-5050 has but also I did read on this forum when I Googled the amp that someone had said it couldn't output it's rated power at 8 ohms which confused me.

Bob....Yeah I just at your reply again, if the German site measured the amplifier then I guess it's actually outputting more power than the rated power.
