Evening guys, there are a few of us keeping things ticking over now were getting a little busier and i can see an issue going to occur where were going to double book kit between us, does any one use any software to allocate kit so they dont double allocate, just to make life easier..

The only proper way to keep stock levels is to barcode everything and have wireless scanners. Nothing goes out without being scanned.
There's scanners on eBay for less than £50 but I have no idea on how good they are. Pretty sure the software can be easily had for free |

im sure you could just use online diary page on your website ,so every time something's booked out its put into the diary for everyone of you to see ,if its online you can see it from wherever your taking the booking and can see if its available on that day , simple really

We use Current RMS and have done since private alpha period, if you only have a few users it's not expensive at all. Bit of admin to put all your kit in, barcode, etc etc but once it's done it's much simpler to throw jobs together, raise invoices, and all those good things. Support is also incredible, most things are responded to within the hour with a proper answer, and they'll even do custom documents for you if you ask nicely. Updates have been decent too, adding features users ask for at a decent rate.
If you don't want to pay monthly there's other similar tools like CloudRent that I haven't personally tried, nowhere near as full featured and not as nice to play with from videos, but lower cost overall. |
