I can vouch for that!
I fell off a scaffold tower many years ago (I was still at school) and landed butt first on a 13 amp plug, spent 18 months in hospital and still have the "socket" (all three pins) on the bottom of my spine in fact it's so clear I'm surprised it hasn't got MK on it.
No matter what you put into your system if your speakers are shite it'll sound shite! Simple init?

A bit like we'd all be floating about if it wasn't for Newton Smile

If I remember correctly, Hertz showed experimentally what Maxwell postulated regarding electromagnetic waves. I don't think he was associated with sound.

Re Plugs: When I was at Uni, the departmental scarf had coloured stripes, yellow, green, brown and blue.

pain was when my older brother told me that chewing a milk bottle top was yummy OuchOuch
Or pain could be when you're seven years old and you decide that the best way to bend a 3" nail was to stand upright and stamp on it.... Cry
LOLLOL

EDIT: I take it you stood on the pointed end?Ouch

I once tried to make a lightsaber, copper pipe, the cable cut off my mums hair drier and bare wires stuffed inside pipe and plugged into mains. I'd discovered how to fly. I couldn't use my hands for a couple of days. I was 5 I think. Tried again a few days later using my dads sword like knife sharpener. Thankfully it had a rubber handle and just tripped the rcds lol.
