Hi to All,
Newbie here at speakerplans, and very interested in building the HD15 original specs by Rog Mogale. Anyone who has a link to HD15 panel cuts and specs? Checked the poweraudio link but limited specs, just dimensions inside and out. Thanks a lot in advance. |

A little search through the forum or Google would have given you all the answers...

I have to call off the build, no luck in finding Real Birch plywood here. I hope someone can provide a link who sells pre-cut panels for my HD15 build? Thanks. |

what are you going to be using it for?
if you can't get hold of birch ply you could use some other plywood.

Thank you for asking, HD15 will be used as low mid, with a PD1550 transducer Got plenty of plywood here but not good enough for speaker cabinets. I prefer to build it right the first time. |

Try radiata, think birch ply HD is overkill anyways

Thanks for the advise, but pine has a lot of issues when used on speaker cabinets. I managed to find one who CNC/3D cuts speaker panels, and he uses scandinavian birch plywood. see if we can work out the shipping going to Hong Kong. |

Hi ape3435, I just read these issues over google, regarding radiata pine being utilized as speaker enclosures. I hope i didn't offended you in anyway being a radiata user, Absolutely no intentions to raise up any arguements, Thanks. |

Offend, what arguments? I only asked as I just bought a sheet of 12mm radiata to make the horn flares in some mt122 so wanted to know if I made a mistake. To be honest, I usually use spruce on my mid and top cabs (to reduce weight as mine are huge) but couldn't find flat enough spruce at my local woodyard so chose the radiata which seems more solid. It's working fine anyways but only time will tell.

I guess for hornflare, radiata will be fine.
