Anyone came across or used a 2 inch coaxial compression driver they somehow reach down to 300Hz using a 1" and a 2", apparently due to not having a phase plug in the way of the 2". looks awesome, are they really usable down in the area you would normally find 10s and 12s?

BMS 4594ND-MID may do it.
Just look at catalogue of BMS. What are you crossing over from?

They may do it, but i personally prefer them at least at 700hz.
Know plenty users who do cross them around 500, at high volume without destroying diaphragms.
Not me though.
Best regards,
Teun.

B&C DCX50.  It's actually a small cone driver and a co-axially mounted small compression driver.

BMS will go down to 300hz with no problem. But you will have to have a very big horn to be able to drive it to the max when cut that low.
Take a look at some hi end speakers that use the BMS coax. Some go even down to 250Hz. But the horns are like 80cm in diameter.
Not very practical for PA use.

We use the bms 4590 too... they sound immense !

Never tried running them down to 300 tho, after emailing BMS about the specs of the horn they recommend we found that it doesn't quite fit with the specs Shocked

Don't get me wrong they are good and can be flat-ish with some eq, but they have measured the 118db on a horn that you cant buy....
They said it was discontinued and recommended the 2236 horn for it... Here's a link to the SPL plot for that, make of it what you will...

The old JBL cinema horn (2366A) is all i can find that can do the specs BMS say for their coaxial drivers... Has anyone tried this combo ? Do we think that's what they have got the 118db rating from LOL
