Was wondering what model was the highest power they made? I have a DPX1100 here which is 550w per channel. with 8 BUZ fets per ch, on the pcb by the heatsink there is provision for 9th and 10th fets to be fitted, so was there a more powerful model which used 10 fets? The mounting holes appear to be completely unsoldered, and so I doubt it ever had 10 and someone pinched 2 from it. I was thinking of fitting these anyway to improve the performance a bit seeing as I have about 14 spare BUZ900P 905P

Oh well, a good afternoon's work on this DPX1100 anyhow. A noisy continuous running fan was getting on my nerves. Fitted a 50C normally open bi-metallic switch on each sink. The holes for the extra fets were there but un-threaded, incredibly. Had to drill it out to 2.8mm and try and tap in a 3mm bolt. A couple of small heatsinks attached to the 7815, 7915 regs as these get quite hot as they are. I'm wondering though whether the +/- 82v DC supply is high enough for a Mosfet 550w per ch. It drops to 78v with just one channel running up to max.
