The date on the measurement on that page you posted is 1983.

hi.
 
thank you alot guys for your helpfull feedback there is a double 12" fane horn design in the book aswell that i want to use for midrange
 
for a few years now iv'e always loved the idea of building sealled enclosures.
 
can anyone tell me how old these designs are in the book it says 2007 but i cant find the recommended drivers so i dont know if they are 2007 designs.

This block of four picks up 2.5dB at 50hz (graph from EAW KF940).

You have just got to love that EAW document, marketing people had a field day.

Appreciated djk, but maybe not fair to say that all horns will exhibit the same trend as shown by the plot you posted.

 

A horn with a vastly under sized mouth will to varying degrees make up for the short fall when many are coupled or the radiating conditions change. Also horn length will play its part in the final gain of added enclosures.

A fairly tight driver will work well in those Z bins.
 
Aim for a Vas of around 180L and a Qts of around 0.3
 
A higher QMS > 9 will also help here.
 
The big question here is.......... should I have put a wink after the line above.

That is a single bin measurement though k.
