No, I'm happy with the Lev_1270, just gonna sell the 2x mdf protos, to finance 4x ply versions.

All depends on drivers in each cab, venue size.

Celestion CF18VJD, PD1851, V18-1000 will all be mental in that cab.

Unfortunately, haven't been to a gig yet where HOGS impressed me 40-80hz with throw, or gig where HOG sound battered normal scoop sound.

I stand approx 10-15M away from  scoop stacks when judging sounds, so huge air moving close to the stack doesn't impress me.

These things will be outside 95% of their time out, so throw will definitively be important.
Going to test cab with 9 different drivers. Should be some interesting results.

I am only trying the EV cause I have one kicking around, and unfortunaly the PD I am only borrowing for comparison.

Hi all, new poster here from Toronto... wanted to comment on the driver used in the 40hz modded scoopers its actually the pr18250 which if you look at the specs is a much beefier driver than the 18125, 250 oz mag and BL 44.8 Wink   http://www.maxspeakers.com/mpts.php I don't know if its an 1850 equivalent but they do seem to thump pretty good Smile
