Hi I have a feeling this has come up quiet a few times as the instruction book is some what @ best VAGUE so sorry for the post again.

I just want to know how set the limiter setting using the math way I.E using input sensitivy /  RMS of speakers / RMS of amp etc.

I have the way where you simply turn up the unplugged amp until it clips then turn the settings on the Berry until the limiter kicks in I'd rather use the math way as I think this wil be more precise, here is the details of the Subs I want to limit

Sub
A pair of Opus SB215 800RMS each cab @ 4Ohms

Amp Opus HD1500
600 RMS  @ 8 Ohms   Per channel
1200 RMS @ 4 Ohms  Per channel
2500 RMS @ 2 Ohms  Per channel
Input sensitivity +6DB
1.4 Volts @ full power

So the amp is running @ 1200RMS each channel and the sub needs 800RMS

If someone could tell me how to arrive at the correct figure and also what that figure is so I can make sure I am doing correctly

Thanks Very Much for your time

Ta Clap

Have a search of the forum as there are a couple of very good guides on how to do it. I'm sure they're from the last few months as well.

Also, take a look at AlfieDring post.  I used the same methodology to work out my limiter settings and then I added a bit more on - rather be safe than sorry...
