I love the look of the Limmer range

I believe Dom on these forums uses or used a Limmer horn with a Porn MK1 and seem to remember good comments about the sound

I do still use the Limmer 308/Mk1 Porn Horn combo...

I think it's a nice combination.  As for drivers you need to use the Ciare 6.38MR3, as the horn and phase plug are designed for it.  You could use any 1" but you'd need a good reason not to use the B&C DE250....

First of all: I don't think that the Limmer 308 and the Pornhorn are compareable.
The Limmer has got a wider spread and isn't much bigger than a Nexo PS15.
The recommended drivers (a good designed passive crossover plan is available) are B&C 12PE32 and DE700.
I chose the 18Sound NSD 1480, imho the better HF driver with an active crossover.
But the Pornhorn has got much more lowend than the limmer, a result of the long midhorn...

the one that has been tried is the 042, from what I can read , i think he wants to know if the 308 could also work , maybe it´s just the top end he needs.

all the prices are on the speakerstore.nl page in euros. you get what you pay for

my experience of the 042 is overwhelmingly positive, got them for about £300 each including drivers, about the same as a decent 1.4" plus horn but dropping much lower.
