Did fireup some gear!
![]() Test of B&C ME45 + B&C DE500 and PD.121 ![]() ![]() ![]() And a mod to stop that "alu ringing" in the horn. They become drop dead when tapped on them ![]() ![]() More to come! |

Did that mod to some horns a while back as well, but i used roofing cover applied with an open flame burner (now what are the appropriate terms for this in english?). Worked a charm and got rid of that annoying harsh ringing alu sound in the 1-2kHz region. What material did you use? is it the stuff that auto audio guys use for isolating doors etc with a lead core?

can anyone recommend a good cheap material to use for damping aluminium horns? i have some horns i would love to try this mod out on, but the only stuff i could find with a lead core is really expensive
