Yep friday at 6 in Aldgate. I'll be there sans system with a few red stripes hoping it doesn't kick off. But yes expect police en masse.

Any news on this? Did the people manage to overthrow capitalism and cast off the shackles of oppression yet or is it still too early to tell?

I'm still in the office finishing off stuff, but from what I've heard so far it's more demo than a 12v fest :( I might have to organise one myself lol.

It was never really gonna be about the tech - I think that much was clear from the flyer tbh. I never really understood the idea of locking horns with the police as a political tactic. I understand the need to gather and network but if a movement has genuine strength it can gather in any old field somewhere and achieve a lot with minimal distractions.

I'd be well up for an off-grid technology fest. No need to limit it to soundsystems only, could get some cinemas too and anything else that people felt like bringing along. The weather's good enough for it.

I would be right up for that and would bring a 12v portable rig (depending on date and location).
We could use didy fm transmitters to daisy-chain.

Lots of pics up on their Facebook group (link earlier in this thread). Looks like only one rig turned out in the end. Paging horns + Reflex or possibly sealed box by the looks of it - Playing gabba according to the caption Dead

True to the flyer it does seem to have been constructed from parts of a supermarket shopping trolley though :D

Yeah, it wasnt really a 12v meetup it was an anti establishment demo. I think at something like that you could expect to have your kit confiscated or smashed. I'm not really surprised there werent many rigs there.
