Just took on a couple of Matrix amps that need a bit of work..
I'm no expert but just had a quick look inside.

Amp 1 Faults:
Channel 2 in Protect
Front LED's don't work
A 'cap'(?) looks bulged and is leaking
possible blown fuse

Amp 2 Faults:
Doesn't power up at all
possible blown fuse

Can anyone help?

Blown Fuse? (both are like this)

Leaking/bulged cap (?)

have you even got a multimeter to check the fuses?

if you don't know how to check if a fuse is blown.. this is likely beyond you. plus, fuses often blow for a reason

I know everyone's thinking this, but if you're no expert, why have you taken on the repair of 2 switchmode, surface mount pcb amplifiers!?

Taken on as in purchased, only posted to see if anyone had similar faults etc! Don't worry these will go to an expert. Matrix didn't want to repair these so I need to find someone local that can

@Riddim, if you could that would be great. I'll let you know if I am selling Thumbs Up

Matrix wouldnt take them yet there is an option to get their older model (UKP range) on their website? What reason did they give you for not taking your XP? I also have one that needs fixing...

Cheers
