Hello!
Can you give me some ideas or directions what could possible be the box responsible for the mid section in this sound - http://iskankers.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/i-skankers-sound.jpg I have heard it and sound quite nice and looks quite simple. Can you think of anything similar that could be done with pieces of wood rather than bending it ? Greetings!

Not far from altecs, look in the fane construction book too, lots of similar designs around. In my opinion they'd be likely to do comb filtering, beam to much & the 2" can be harsh.

placing mid / high horns & tweeters flush on a line like in the pic is all wrong, but that doesn't keep people from doing it.
Look at the picture in post 24 here: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/full-range/164167-chr-el-70-cabinet-decision-3.html |

Ah, now I undrestand! THank you very much guys, you are super helpful around here!
Usualy they sound quite good, but this same sound once divided this whole stack into 3 parts in a semi-circle - 2 scoops each and it sounded really quite, compared to the rest of the sounds that were playing at the same place next days... I am asking these questions because I am wondering what mid/top section to use. We are building a small sound, 2 super scoops loaded with 18xbs and on top of them for now I am planning to put a MT-130, until we get funds for a kick section and more extensions. That's why I am wondering if anything else is better than this design... what do you think, should I consider a reflex rather than this MT? I have heard a lot of reggae sounds, but I can't make up my mind now at this moment, I guess I just have to build and start to learn by experience :)

Never checked that mt-130 before, nice design, but would be much nicer if the comp was in front of the 12", that would make the box much smaller (and demand a taller stack or flying to achieve appropriate dispersion height)
