I have some questions for the mini dsp: I want to use it for a project two ways: I read that in the free version of the software does not exist the limiter function.
How much is the model with complete limiter and equalizer software? Already I possess management speaker 2.3 ("ds 2/4") and DA studio pro 4.1.4 ("cad audio" module) work with mini dsp? that other dsp do you recommend?

i have their 4x8 model, used for a few projects, is sitting in the drawer now because it needs windows or mac for the control software, im not using any of those. no support for android devices too.
swapped that for a berry dcx and never looked back. happy to sell it if anyone wants. |

mine is this model
https://www.minidsp.com/products/minidspkits/2-x-in-8-x-out Looking for half the price of new board. Bought it directly from them and customs banged me with some £120 import tax and administrative charges. |

Sure they can. Says right here on the MiniDSP 2x4 Advanced 4 way plugin page
"The compressor limiter on each output channel is another novel feature" So yeah they can, but it depends what product and plugin you purchase. |

Thank you for the reply! I have to buy the software only once, or if you purchase 10 modules have to buy 10 software?

I don't own a miniDSP, but it is fairly clear from the website that you pay once for each module. Once you have purchased a module all future software improvements to it come for free.

I've used these for home HiFi before and AFAIK you only need to buy the plugin once and then you can install on as many units as you like. Send them an email to check or ask on DIYAUDIO forum.. As stated above, it wouldn't be my choice for pro use though.

It's just bits of paper flapping about in a box.

Pro use would normally require: Balanced input & output on XLR connectors (pheonix acceptable for fixed install only) Onboard power supply Robust rack case FWIW, David.
