just wondering if anyone was running the mt122 without kickbins... and if so, do you think you need them?

depends on your bass section i would say..

using mt`s above scoops or 6th order bandpass cabs would require a dedicated kick bin to fill the gap, using them above reflex or bandpass horns or frontloaded horns that dont have a long hornpath (above 2m) would work well if the cab plays fine till 130-150 without sounding "hollow/honky"..

Dang, I was hoping for some magical solution to get the MT121 to play down to 90 LOL

Currently build a ported sub that is "supposed" to play to 160, love the idea of running a pair of MT121 per side, but that is going to depend if the sub can actually get high enough without going to shit.

pair of mt121 per side is a fairly big rig.. don't know what ported sub you're building but you'd probably need 4 a side to keep up with the mts. and you'll want the mts up so the high is pretty much over peoples' heads..

Currently using PRX as tops, just wrapping up the build on the first sub. Assuming it performs, 3 more will be on the way.

MTs won't be happening until the rest of the rig is sufficient to support them. Wink
