Goodmorning you all!
After some windISD time with a few drivers that are now only used to collect dust, I came to the realization that it was not worth it to build an enclosure for them. Yup, there the ''The Box 15-500/8A''. When i came across the planar wave horn plans decided to build that with a propper driver. Now, while googling to build something else i found this: Compared to my WinISD results that looks almost to good to be true. Ofcourse it's nothing like an BR enclosure, but the difference is huge! The plans that go with it: Now what i remember of simulating with this driver is that with everything above let's say 400watt's it hits Xmax.. After some more surfing a video came up with a guy powering two of these sub's to clip with the thomann drivers by an Gisen Audio MM14K. Spec's: Leistung an 8 Ω: 2x 2350 Watt RMS Leistung an 4 Ω: 2x 4400 Watt RMS Leistung an 2 Ω: 2x 7000 Watt RMS Leistung an 8 Ω gebrückt: 1x 8800 Watt RMS Leistung an 4 Ω gebrückt: 1x 14000 Watt RMS Eingangsimpedanz: 20kOhm Eingangsempfindlichkeit: 0.77V/1.44V THD 20hz-20khz 1W: <0.1% SNR Ratio: >112dba Netzanschluss: 230V Schuko Dampingfaktor bei 1khz und 8 Ohm: >1000 Kühlung: Temperaturgesteuerte Lüfter Schutzschaltungen: Kurzschlußsicherung ; Überspannungsschutz Temperaturschutz ; 20hz Tiefbassschutz Eingänge: XLR Ausgänge: speak Maße: 19″ Zoll breit, 2he, 396mm tief Gewicht: 12kg That's a lot of .. You understand what i mean.. They should have died. So now my question, What power can you feed the feed the drivers in this enclosure without it going way over xmax?
