sorry only joshin!

Good start. Get some decent drivers and decent amps - don't skimp! Less better than more shit imo.

See you soon,

Tom

Haha yeah I'm well aware they're the weakest link now, although I do still suspect we'll be nicely surprised as long as we get them over the right range, gunna take a bit of trial and error. They are a nice stop-gap for now, and seeing as they're loaded with 186's I'm confident they won't be gak.

However funds are going to have to be directed towards amps. Any suggestions? I was thinking the proline 3000 for the hogz and I'm still not sure about what the xp112's are loaded with yet, so I'm not sure about ampage for them. Can anyone point me towards tech-specs of the thunder-ridge xp112's?

Well this is the debate, v18's or 1850's? I've heard them when NL had them loaded with v18's and so know for a fact that they sound spanking, but as there are a couple of us putting in for the system, the extra for the 1850's becomes negligible. Has anyone A-B'd them? Or know of differences between the two worth noting?

I read the post on freespeakerplans that compairs the v18 and the 1850 saying they where near indistinguishable. Anyone else know anything about this? I find it interesting that a driver that costs almost a tonne more has reportedly no difference in sound quality?

Literally cannot wait to get this all fired up. Summer is going to be fun :).
