I can't seem to find a pair of mid/highs suitable so i'm looking for a quote to design and build two mid/high cabs, i'm looking for two two-way 12" mid/highs with a passive crossover network based around the RCF MB12N405 low frequency driver and the RCF ND850 2" compression driver. I want the option to be able to run the speaker cabinets passive and bi-amp. The horn flare i'm thinking about is the BMS 2236 because the mid/highs will always be splayed, stacked next to each other in a mono central stack on top of the subs.

The music styles will be pretty much techno and trance all the time with a sligh oldskool hardcore set sometimes. Ideally i'd like 3-way cabs with horn loaded midrange drivers but I think they might cost a fortune to have made. So i'd like a quote please guys if possible, i'll buy the drivers so no need for you to buy the drivers, thanks people. Edited by richardstringer - 27 May 2017 at 9:41am |

Yeah i've seen those cabs before but I doubt they'd keep up with my four double 18" subs spl wise as they're only 600 watts RMS I believe. Plus i've never heard of those drivers they use.

They look nice the SMT212 but the lower cut off is 90hz which is only 10hz lower than I always set the subs/mid highs crossoverpoint. Plus i'd want grilles on the front and castors on the back.

Plenty of pics with grills on and a proper cnc bod would make front panel clip on with castors.
You are in typical catch 22. You want louder than reflex but with low extension. Some sort of double http://hornplans.free.fr/4512.html maybe If you are serious and have deposit I'm sure Bee on here could design and manufacture to your needs. |

Yeah i'll have money for the deposit in about a week, right now i'm just wondering how much it could cost to get the two cabs made so they're as high quality as branded cabs and if it's gonna be worth getting a pair made. I wanted Nexo PS15 cabs but their dispersion is far too wide for the cabs to be splayed so...

Do you already have those drivers?
Have you made a rough math about the total cost of this project? Might be wiser to just buy branded boxes. A good 2x12 box with 60x40 horn is not that hard to find.
