Even with this dip its very interesting test... great stuff...

I had one hour to make this happen. I took the scoops back before I even had a chance to look at all the results and notice the 70hz dip on all the cabs I'm afraid. I wouldn't expect that 70hz dip from the big HOG. I'll have to experiment more when I get back next week.
I am starting to question the accuracy of the results......

Every box I've built, admittedly in singles to test, MS18 Mk1, Mk2 (ish) Mk3, Tai Mini, Cyclops, Staip Mini, Staip Mini with 18, ES18, Cubo 18 and T18 has led me back to reflex for sound quality.
I am a little interested in the MS-46 though, if that plot is accurate the honk could be smoothed out and no kicks might be a reality?
Need a big driver, then will try.

Good works bro i like that what you do, cus a do it too like to build and test box's with certain drivers ect,

when moneys allows of course, so i have a greater understanding in real terms of tone, sound, sub, bass, mid ect

i lucky tbh ive got the best of both set up , Relflex and scoop systems...

keep the good works maybe you can i bit of info up and yu results..

nice one

@app yes man the quad will deffo be rolling out man...Big smile

And cool the Reality man too, nice finding tbh and interesting, but we all have to make up our own thought and opinions on it,

nice one for the works still

Personally I went from 8 double 18 reflex to 8 single 21" scoops and would never go back!

Trouser flapping does not mean there is 30-40Hz present.

Play a 30Hz sine next time, and then play a 60Hz one. See what is loudest even to your ears.

As has already been said on here, I don't think many people really know what 30Hz is. Hell, when we did an acoustics experiment that I can't really say a huge deal about, almost every test subject was struggling to be in the same room as this response (which we achieved, continuously for 15 solid minutes at a time) let alone sit within a metre of it and conduct the test…

I to have build a variety of scoops ms18 mk2/mk3 and a hog scoop did I compared to a 2/18 Br and down low (30/40)Hz the Br box can outplay the scoops but 45 up no way .this is all subjective as I'm only using my ears but so will have the measuring tools.Btw using a RTA in auto Eq shows know significant difference in Eq settings
