Well i dont think that you know what you want. First off all, on your picture there are soooo different cabinets that it is impossible to compare them.
Cant imagine how can any of them do. Few of them are the biggest crap of woofers out there and few of them are zillion light years in head of the others. You can easy find plans for boxes similar to those CV and Sonic boxes but that is not what you want beleive me.
First do a serch on this forum and I still dont know what are you doinh here askin for plans when you already have plenty of them on this site. Oh... forget those BasssMax and EAW subs. They are out of your league and you cant build them. Go to the newbee forum with this kind of questions. Regards Edited by MarjanM - 17 February 2006 at 4:33am |

MARJANM! - too harsh! explain it to him, don't smash his hopes and throw them in the trash . Ok, now for those bins, they all have diffrent characteristics. the one with duial mouths would be more used as an oversized midbass bin other then full bass *in most cases that is, also depends if it's a mix between vented and horn design*. another thing is that those Cerwin Vegas are just simple C-bins, my personal opinion the easiest to designn out fo the horns. also, NO horn is out of Anyone's league, it just depends if you have the skill to build it, wood working skills that is. also remember these are not normal subs, they don't go as low as extended reflex cabs do. it requires stacks of these to get the lower tunes of 30-35hz unlike reflex can get that easily with much small stacks. BUT the downfall of reflex cabs is that you really only want to use them inside a building where the sound waves can stay in the local area. horns are more ment for LARGE arenas to Venues and outside concerts where the sound needs to be projected much further. my sujgestion is this, do searches on this forum about the "1850horn" the "Loony Bin" the "Punisher" the "Labhorn" the "186horn" the "Tuba" and the "HD 15". search for info/pictures and builds to see when, what and how to use Horns and horn designs. EDIT: Also, purchasing of plans for most of those cabenits you posted pics of will prove to be almost impossible as the companies would want to keep their work from being copied in anyway. not saying you would do such a thing, but it's happened before. I am not too harsh. I am just seek of this kind of questions. People should fist know what they want. He has to search and study things for a while and then ask if something is not already explained. The things that you are explaining to him are beat to dead here and on the prosounweb where he is asking the same question in the Lab Forum. I realy think that moderators will have to delete all post od this kind where people are looking to steal somone's design. And EAW and BAssMax cabs ARE out of his league. Aut of anybody's league. They are using custom drivers that arent publicly available so you will not have expected results even if you find the right plans (which I doubt he will) And if someone is asking how to build a CV sub it certenly does explain how much effort is he making to learn about subwoofers. There lots of plans on the web that are publicly available so why asking this kind of question.
I think that we shoud try to improve the quality of this site and not allow to be overflown with stupid novice question. Thats why we now have NEWBEE part in the forum area.
Oh.. I also think that we should make a roule for posting with a real name like on PSW forums.
Lets make it more profesional. If every second topic is a "Do someone have a plans for XX od YY can cose i like to make copies?" is not helping much. Not to mention the legal point of wiev. Regards MarjanM |

hello marjan as your a newbie i should point out that these design that you speak of are infact copyrighted, as such construction is prohibited... it would be unprofessional to divulge these plans to you at this time. maybe you should search the forum for similar plans? if this doesnt net any results then how about ebay.... i can highly recommend skytec as these are the first speakers i ever bought!!! you can buy some here..... but dont get too excited as that priceis per cab! sorry. 2 of these cabs would be good for at least 2 to 3 thousand ppl so its a bargain! the bass will rearrange your dna!!! if not why not find a carpenter and get him to make any cabinet you want... ask simo he'll sort you out! i hope i have answered some of your questions... its a big step UP coming from the prosound forum to this one so if i can offer any help with my limited knowledge plz feel free to get in touch.
