Currently I have 10 cerwin vega l36pe, 6 are loaded with void v18-1000s and 4 still have the original drivers. Iv been offerd good money for a pair of the l36pes with the original drivers which would still leave me 8 which is more than I usually use at one time anyway, they have served me well and I'm reluctant to sell but i would like something that drops a bit lower with more spl...
I also have 4 void psychos which were going to replace the l36pes but after using them the first time I managed to blow 3 of the drivers which I will be taking back to void to fix next week now that xmas is over and I have a bit more time... I realise the psychos may not have been the best option to replace the l36pes with as most of my bookings are small to medium sized venues, I've done a bit of searching and have found a few possible solutions but I cannot decide what to go for and I don't want to be disappointed as it's not possible to hear all the cabs before I choose. The normal sort of music that is played through the system is drum and bass The tops I'm using are turbosound floodlights and I'm considering changing those if they cannot keep up in terms of spl or if the subs don't run high enough to meet them as I currently have a smal gap between 140-180hz as I run the v18 loaded l36pes from 38 to 120/140hz and the floods from 180hz upwards The cabs iv short listed are: Turbosound tsw-124 37Hz - 300Hz ±3dB (useful to 17Hz) Coherent over stated bandwidth 600 watts r.m.s., 1200 watts program, 1500 watts peak 100dB 1 watt @ 1 metre average 130dB continuous, 136dB peak 4 ohms *125Kg Or tsw 121 50 - 150Hz ±4dB Recommended operational range below 250Hz 600 watts r.m.s., 1200 watts program, 1500 watts peak Recommended amplifier power: 1200 watts @ 8ohms 101dB, 1 W @ 1metre average 131dB continuous 137dB peak Active: recommended point 80 - 150Hz, 24dB/octave low pass (depending on application) 8 ohms *90kg Void Trinity x, Specification Frequency response 30 Hz - 250 Hz -3dB points Efficiency 104 dB 1w/1m Crossover Point Hi Pass 30 Hz - 24 dB/oct Lo Pass 80 - 138 Hz - 24 dB/oct Impedance 8 ohms Power Handling 1500 watts rms Maximum Output 135 dB cont 139 dB peak Driver configuration 1 x 21" neo Dispersion Array Dependent Connector 2 x 4 pole speakon Dimensions Height (mm) 680 Width (mm) 723 Depth (mm) 820 Weight (kg) 75 Void staysys x v1 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Frequency Response : 33 Hz - 200 Hz -3dB points Sensitivity : LF : 105 dB 1w/1m Impedance : 4 ohms Power Handling : 2800 watts Rms Maximum Output : 138 dB cont 142 dB peak Dispersion : Array Dependent Crossover Point : Hi Pass : 30 Hz - 24 dB/oct But Lo pass : 110 - 138 Hz - 24 - 48 dB/oct But/LR Driver Configuration : 2 x 18" - 125 mm voice coil - neo Dimensions : 1220 mm wide 636 mm high 820 mm deep Weight : 94 Kg net 12" arcline subs??? I've owned them all apart from the 24's and I'm definitely keeping 8 trinities. It was an easy choice for me. Good luck : )

Cheers mate... iv just put a deposit down on the last staysys xv1 and got the 4 psycho drivers reconed.. I was told the psychos need to be used in a block of 6 which might be a bit difficult to transport so I think il loose those and get another xv1. Will the Trinity's work with the xv1 or will they be covering too much of the same freq band? Could I run the xv1 higher if I had the trinity doing the low stuff?

I know people who used to run the xv1 high and low so I would guess so. You'll certainly get more lows from the trinity as the xv1 weren't very good down there in my opinion.
