Hi,
I planned to build 2x Po rn horns to go with 2x lab12 subwoofers but came to realise that the horn mouldings are no longer being sold and i'm stumped of what to do for an alternative!

I am new to building speakers and don't know a great deal about what sounds good for the project i'm wanting to achieve.

I would like to use the end product for psy-trance and bass heavy music such as dubstep/glitch at medium sized events.

If someone could help me, it would be much appreciated!

Many Thanks,
Tyler

Glitch-step, glitch-hop :)
Music other than the 4/4 beat, slappy sort of bass :)

First of all Por n horn and labsub will gave a gap in the response. Labsub is not really good above 80-90hz.
Mykeys SP12 is the only one i can think of at the moment. You will need a kick bin between then anyway.

Thanks Marjan, i had only gone off an idea a friend told me, my original idea was to have USB bins and later down the track building two Labsubs for more of a punch?

I cannot seem to find Mykeys SP12 horns/flanges anywhere though!

Are there any other alternatives in UK, apart from Mykey SP12 and non existant Porn Horns ?

Was given this link to US ebay, but horn looks bit too short, to get anywhere near 150hz.

Remember someone on here or elsewhere mentioning the quality of this manufacturer not beeing up to really usable standard, same goes for specs stated...! Too thin etc. - looks like a cheap plastic 2part mould anyways..

What's wrong with sp 12's? My ones outplayed anything I've ever heard that didn't have a large 4 figure price tag attached to them. I bought some 10's too, direct from Mike hassle free.

I know Bee also has 12" fibre glass horn in production. Not completely sure of when there available but I've heard one briefly and it was very very impressive. PM him and he'll be able to give you the finer details I'm sure.

Mykey has none in stock, know someone looking for 4x horns & I fancy playing with 2x now.

Maybe I should be looking on alibaba.com. LOL
